Compassionate Home Care is thrilled to welcome Katelyn to the Compassionate Family! Katelyn has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a small, private, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa (Central College). For her service learning project during her senior year, Katelyn worked at a nursing home, and she absolutely loved it. In addition, she is in a relationship with a man who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and he also inspired Katelyn to get into this type of work. Katelyn enjoys helping people and her dream is to be a social worker. She loves to make people happy and smile, and she believes that the most vulnerable populations deserve compassion and respect, and if she can help others to live comfortably in their own homes, then she believes she should. Katelyn has a half brother whom she grew up with, and Katelyn loves being an auntie to her brother's children. In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys anime, video games, YouTube, puzzles, swimming, biking, and watching movies. Her favorite movies include Harry Potter, The Beverly Hillbillies, Tommy Boy, Whip It, and many more. She loves movies. Katelyn is a friendly and outgoing person who loves to organize.
