McKenna, CNA

Homemaking/Companion Caregiver, Direct/ICLS Caregiver, ILS Trainer

McKenna is a CNA who joins Compassionate Home Care as an intern. She is currently a Bethel University student working towards becoming a Registered Nurse. Though McKenna has a limited amount of clinical experience, McKenna is hoping to have the opportunity to work with clients to help them while also learning more hands-on skills. She loves the opportunity to invest in others and make a tangible difference in people’s lives, and McKenna finds it rewarding to see someone who needs care receive that care and live a better, happier, and healthier life. She loves meeting different people and building deeper relationships with longer-term clients; she believes she is a good fit with Compassionate Home Care because of her CNA skills as well as her passion for working with individuals and helping them to reach their fullest potential while also allowing her to work with them to remain in their own homes. McKenna lives with her mom (a Nursing Administrator at Maple Grove Hospital), her dad, and her twin sister. In her spare time, McKenna loves spending time with her friends and family, going to church, listening to music, drinking coffee, and spending time outdoors. Her favorite movies are The Notebook, Tangled, and any Disney movie. McKenna is excited to get to know more about the lives and stories of the clients with which she will be working, and she hopes to gain some valuable experience and confidence as she goes into her first year of nursing school in the fall.
