Sheila B.

Homemaker/Companion Caregiver, ICLS Caregiver, ILS Trainer

Sheila joines the Compassionate Home Care team with years of experience in the healthcare field. She was a nurse’s aide, a housemother for an elderly client, has worked in memory care, and now she is working with those who are mentally challenged. She is making a positive difference in the lives that she serves ensuring that they can continue to live in their own homes with outside help. Sheila is single with three adult children and four grandchildren. In her spare time, Sheila enjoys reading, visiting with friends, putting puzzles together, and sewing. Sheila’s favorite movies are It’s a Wonderful Life and Ma Ma Mia. Sheila is one of ten children, and she is close to all of her siblings and to her many nieces and nephews. Sheila grew up on a farm in Western, MN, and her father had medical issues when she was in seventh grade, so her childhood ended as all of the children in the family became the providers. Living on a dairy farm, everyone in the family had to pitch in to help to keep things running. Sheila does quite well fixing things as well as painting, etc. For example, this spring, Sheila painted all of the trim on her house and garage. She also seal-coated her driveway, and she can also use a chain saw quite well as she trims branches. Sheila believes she is versatile.
